Zindzi Mandela,the youngest daughter of the first black south African president and anti-appatheid,Winnie Madikizela Mandela has died,according to a report from SABC.
Zindzi is the sixth child of Nelson Mandela and she is the second child he had with Winnie Mandela.
Zindzi grew up when the anti-appatheid struggle was intense,her father wasn't present in her childhood because he was serving his prison sentence at Robben island,she suffered many years of harassment and intimidation by the apartheid regime.
Before her death,Zindzi showed support for change in land reform for South Africa.
The family has not disclosed the cause of her death.Zindzi died at Johannesburg hospital earlier today.
There are only two out of Nelson Mandela's children alive.Zenami Dlamini,Zindzi's sister and Pumbi Makaziwe Mandela,her step sister.
President Cyril Ramaphosa in an inside statement statement offered condolence to the Mandela's family, he said Zindzi Mandela was a household name and she showed strength and support during the apartheid struggle.
"Zindzi Mandela was a household name nationally and internationally, who during our years of struggle brought home the inhumanity of the apartheid system and the unshakeable resolve of our fight for freedom".
