Ahead of the 2023 presidential election, there are a lot of permutations going on as the influential political players in different political parties try to grab the presidential ticket of their parties for the presidential race.
On the platform of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party, some influential politicians like former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar from northeast, Governor Nyesom Wike from south-south, and former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi from southeast have all been tipped to fly the flag of PDP in 2023.

Atiku Abubakar has much influence in the northern region, it would be easy to get the support of the registered members of the party from the region.
Apart from his much influence in the northern region, Atiku also has political networks in the southern region, this is why the new development may likely make it easy for him to win the PDP presidential primaries.
