The governorship candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in Lagos State, Gbadebo Rhodes-vivour has revealed that the Lagos State currently is broke because the ruling party, APC financed the election of the president-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Gbadebo Rhodes-vivour said this while speaking in an interview with Vanguard TV. Gbadebo Rhodes-vivour said that Lagosians need to move out of the order the ruling party created.
He said, "I think the system that they have is what we need to get out from. In 2019, I contested and I saw the amount of Agberos that are on the road, I'm contesting now and it has multiplied by times five. What is orderly about that? These people have created and become law under themselves and caused so many inconveniences for Lagosians. The order they create is an order of a status quo that aggregates the wealth of Lagos to one man, his family, and his fullness and that status quo are impoverishing Lagos.
They have created a system where the resources of Lagos are used to go and campaign in other states and achieve political power. Lagos State currently is broke because they are the ones that finance Tinubu's election. That's the order we need to move away from".
