Zamfara is a state in northwestern Nigeria. Its capital is Gusau and its Governor is Bello Matawalle, a member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP). Until 1996, the area was actually part of Sokoto State.
Just recently, Sadiya Umar Farouq paid a courtesy call and a visit to the Zamfara state Governor, Bello Matawalle.
The minister of humanitarian affairs, disaster management and social development, Sadiya Umar Farouq expressed her heart-felt condolences and that of the FG to the Government and the people of Zamfara State over the loss of lives and property in the state.
On behalf of President Muhammadu Buhari, Sadiya Umar Farouq handed over a total of 102 trailer loads of assorted grains for distribution to vulnerable persons, elderly and people living with disabilities in the state.
Sadiya Umar Farouk is a Nigerian politician and the current minister of humanitarian affairs, disaster management and social development.
She was appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari in July 2019, Sadiya Farouk is by age the youngest minister in the current federal cabinet.
