Peter Obi: Buhari Did not Credit Tinubu or His own Government For APC's Victory -Akin Osuntokun

The DG of Peter Obi's PCC, Akin Osuntokun, has reacted to the statement by Buhari regarding why the opposition parties lost the presidential election. In his interview, Osuntokun noted his perceived contradiction in the reasons that the president gave for the loss of the LP and PDP.
Addressing the topic, Osuntokun said, "He is trying to rationalize irrationality. The president mentioned "foreign backers", but they are the ones in power, and foreign interference contravenes our laws. It is their responsibility if they let such a thing happen during our election. How does their allegation reflect their thinking?
He added, "As for their reasons for our loss at the election, they did not say that they won the election based on the nature of their candidate or the achievements of the APC-led government." They did not claim that they won because they have a good product to sell.
You may recall that President Buhari said that while the APC worked hard to retain power in the 2023 general elections, opposition political parties lost due to overconfidence.
