As the PDP National Convention scheduled for 30th and 31st of October, 2021 is fast approaching, Senator David Mark is one of the PDP Topshots believed to be nursing a National Chairmanship Ambition since the Position has been zoned to the Northern Region. As the much anticipated Event draws near, Below is a list of Two Key Positions that may likely await David Mark.
1. PDP National Chairman
Even though, the Ex-Senate President is yet to announce his intention to contest for the Number One Position in the PDP, David Mark is being promoted by majority of the PDP Governors, they believe he has the required Politcal Experience and Competence to run the affairs of the party. Thus, He might bow to pressure and contest for the PDP National Chairmanship Position.
2. PDP Board of Trustees (BoT) Chairman
According to Independent.ng, Mark is hoping to succeed Senator Walid Jibrin as the PDP BoT Chairman. This is because the North Central Geo-political Zone has produced Five National Chairmen from 1998 till date, they include Solomon Lar, Barnabas Gemade, Ahmadu Ali, Kawu Baraje and Audu Ogbe. Meanwhile, the duo of Gemade and Ogbe hails from Benue State like Senator Mark. Therefore, David Mark may eventually settle for the position of the PDP BoT Chairman.
