The Crisis Between the Governor of Osun State, Governor Gboyega Oyetola and his Predecessor, Rauf Aregbesola could only be settled with the intervention of some Prominent Leaders in the State. Governor Oyetola and Aregbesola have not been able to settle their grievances in the state. It should be recalled that Oyetola and Aregbesola started fighting each other, immediately after the 2018 Governorship Election.
It was reliably gathered that Aregbesola could not deliver his federal constituency and Local Government for Oyetola during the 2018 Governorship Polls. Therefore, Oyetola could not win the Governorship race at first stage, it was through the rerun election that helped Oyetola to win the Governorship race. The Former Deputy Governor of the State, Otunba Iyiola Omisore happened to be one of the Leader that helped Governor Oyetola to win the rerun election through coalition in the State.
Meanwhile, Some Leaders of the Party have tried to intervene to settle the rifts between the Leaders but they could not settle it. However, the Crisis could be settled, if some Prominent Leaders of the Party could intervene between them. One of the Leaders that can intervene between Oyetola and Aregbesola is the former Governor of Lagos State and the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Oyetola and Aregbesola were trained by Tinubu and they follow Tunubu's Political Ideologies. It should be recalled that Aregbesola was the former Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, when Tinubu was the Governor of Lagos State. Also, Governor Oyetola was one of the Tinubu's Boys. Therefore, Tinubu can call them into order to settle their grievances before it is too late.
Another APC Leader that can intervene between Oyetola and Aregbesola, is the former Governor of Osun State, Chief Adebisi Akande. Akande was the National Chairman of Alliance For Democracy (AD) before the Party changed its name to Action Congress, (AC) and Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN. Akande was the National Chairman of the Party All through, in fact he was the first National chairman of All Progressives Congress APC. Therefore, Akande can easily intervene between the two Leaders and settle the grievances.
It was reliably gathered that Chief Bisi Akande had once intervened between Oyetola and Aregbesola's crisis, And could not settle the Rifts between them but the fact is that chief Akande should not relent his efforts, to mediate Oyetola and Aregbesola together before the forthcoming Governorship Polls in the State. Both Tinubu and Akande can settle the crisis rocking Osun State chapter of APC and they should do it on time before it is too late.
