Trouble as NDDC chair members walk out on senators

Following the incident of the sum of money which was reported to have disappeared with NDDC, the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria ordered for thorough investigation into the matter so as to recover the lost money.

As reported by the radio station Fresh FM 105.9 this morning, the house of representatives summoned the NDDC chair members for questioning. However, before the questioning got any longer, one of the chair members who spoke on behalf of the rest accused the chairman of the questioning committee Sen. Olubunmi Ojo of not being innocent himself. He said they have often charged him with several offences of which he is guilty and that before they would be questioned, another committee should be set up.

This sparked a lot of controversy among the house of representatives' members as many of the senators made it known that they had the right according to the law to question whoever was deemed fit and they were not to be dictated for.

To cut the long story short, the chair members to be questioned, who were reportedly angry stormed out of the house of rep leaving the senators amused. They walked out on the lawmakers of Nigeria!!

If this is truly the case, where almost all of our leaders in Nigeria have one or two cases related to embezzlement or fraud, why should they be leaders? A leader ought to lead by example, and it is expected of a leader to live a crime-free life before he can condemn or judge others.

If this is true, then definitely someone like Hush puppy is not supposed to be judged in Nigeria. Or what do you think? Is this not a scenario of thieves condemning thieves in Nigeria?
