Why There Will Be No Election In Yorubaland In 2023" - Igboho’s Aide, Olayomi Koiki

Olayomi Koiki, media assistant to Yoruba freedom fighter, Sunday Adeyemo, prominently known as Sunday Igboho, has clarified why the Oduduwa Nation agitators have demanded the 2023 elecion bycott in South-West states.

Koiki, who talked with SaharaReporters on Friday, noticed that the country's surviving constitution is faulty.

He said a referendum will be conducted however before at that point, the agitators are participating in what he called self-determination

Koiki expressed that there is the requirement for a constitutional reform else no other elecion should hold on a faulty Constitution.

He said,

Statement

"Before a referendum can happen, we need to initially teach our people and give them an explanation for why we accept that there ought not be an election. What are the reasons? I will return to the 1914 amalgamation, that amalgamation has expired in 2014, it was a forceful amalgamation on us as a people, as a tribe, we never signed for that amalgamation.

"The 1999 Constitution is additionally a justification for us not to go into another elecion to renew that trick that has been utilized on Nigerians. The constitution that was given to us was when Abdul salami (Abubakar), a previous military despot was on seat before President Olusegun Obasanjo came on board board in 1999.

"Our leaders have effectively given 90 days to the Federal Government, that 90 days terminated which is known as the force majeure. It was given by the Nigerian Indigenous Nationalities Alliance for Self-Determination (NINAS) comprised of South-West, Middle Belt, South-East and I think the South-South, they met up to give 90 days to the Federal Government as far as the announcement of that constitution that it should be investigated. The government has not investigated that, it has expired on the seventeenth of March and a statement has come out.

"What we are doing now is called acclaimation: we need to converse with our people, teach them, educate them, provide them due guidance as far as moving out of this country, the complete breakaway out of the association. The union brought us in 1960 as one entity, that Union expired after the first military coup in 1966. That implies we are no longer practicing the regional government.

"The Nigerian government has kept on misleading Nigerians regarding rebuilding the country and they have would not rebuild the country. At the point when we met up, it was an element; that element has effectively gone when we quit working the local government.

"Pushing ahead now, we are taking our mission house to house, door to door, road to road, market to showcase, advising and teaching our poeple that we have the rights under the United Nations Charter to turn into a country. We are now registred under UNPO (The Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organization).

"Scotland has an association with Great Britain as far back as 1701 yet now Scotland is requesting complete self-determination out of Great Britain, that doesn't imply that they don't have quality great medical care, the entire aminities were given to their citizens yet they are as yet hoping to split away.

"In 1976, we had a Local Government Reform Amendment, till date would you be able to bring up of the 774 local government areas we have in this country, which one is working up to the standard that there is no single out-of-school children? All these are issues affecting the Yoruba people and those of different tribes and that is the reason we will keep going through the peaceful way suggested by the UN charter

"Before we can discuss a referendum, we need to go out first, address the poeple, we will at that point present our case which is progressing as of now by those leading us to say that the UN should calm down and do what was done to South Sudan in 2011 to permit peaceful break away out of this country.

"As Pastor Paul Adefarasin said, Nigeria is a scam and nobody should consider in any event, discussing the election with the faulty constitution."
