Ahead of the 2023 General Elections, major political parties and prominent politicians who have interests in the general elections have started the deployment of political strategies that may ensure their success at the poll.
Pending any unforeseen political occurrences, 2023 presidential election is being expected to be a keen contest between the ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC) and the main opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
It could be recalled that the two political parties could be considered as the two most prominent political parties in the country. Mostly, by considering the number of State governors and lawmakers that the two parties can boast on.
Although, members of the main opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), are projecting the party to win the next presidential election in the country but, in reality, there are two political reasons that are indicating the ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC) may retain the presidential seat of the Federal Republic of Nigeria beyond 2023.
One, the monumental achievements of the incumbent President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, may position the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) at a better place in the mindsets of the citizens of the country who are eligible to vote.
The achievements of the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari in the areas of Agriculture, Education, Health, Road Construction, Infrastructural Development, Labour and Productivity, Humanitarian and Justice may maximise the chances of the ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC) to conveniently retain the presidential seat beyond 2023.
Secondly, the recent rise in the popularity of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) across the 36 states of the Federal Republic of Nigeria could be considered as another, major, opportunity that may allow the party to retain the presidential seat beyond 2023.
Sincerely, the recent defection of some members of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC), could be typically considered as another indicator that the ruling party has more chances to retain the presidential seat beyond 2023.
