While the north and south are into a struggle for power ahead of the 2023 presidential election, Sunday Igboho's spokesman has sent message to southwest governors and leaders concerning the Yoruba nation agitation. Olayomi Koiki advised the south west leaders to support Yoruba nation as the northerners have what it takes to claim the presidential seat.He said it is now clear that the northerners are never ready to allow anyone from the southwest or southeast to become the next president. He said the northerners have the mentality that they are born to rule and they are advantaged because of their assumed high population.
He then urged the southwestern leaders to wake up and support the Yoruba nation agitation as they are certain to have upper hand in this. Olayomi Koiki noted that if the South West leaders still depend on the 2023 election, they will the lose the presidential seat and also lose their lose their place of leadership among the ‘Yoruba nation citizens’.
In the message which was posted on his Facebook page, he said:
‘If the election will eventually hold, the north will surely have upper hand of voters and emerge as next president. It will be more favorable for you to support Yoruba nation.’
