As the governorship election schedule for March 18th, 2023, draws near, Nigerian lawyer and human rights activist, Chief Malcolm Omirhobo, via his official Twitter account, reacted to the ongoing debate on whether or not Lagos State belongs to the Yorubas and that other Nigerians residing in Lagos should leave. He said that the proposition had xenophobic tendencies and should be stopped. He then concluded by saying that we all should join hands to preach love and not hate.
In his words, "The proposition by some Yorubas from the hinterland that Lagos belongs to the Yorubas and that other Nigerians residing there most leave, l smacks off xenophobic tendencies which must be stopped . Let's join hands together to preach love not hate . Say No to Xenophobia."
