The governorship and state assembly elections scheduled for March 11 have been postponed by the Independent National Electoral Commission by one week.


The elections will now take place on March 18, 2023.

Bola Tinubu, the President-elect, met with Tony Elumelu, Chairman of Heirs Holdings.


Tony Elumelu was seen hugging and shaking the president-elect during a visit to his apartment last night, in a video posted by an Instagram user.


In a video, Elumelu could be heard saying, "Last man standing. He is still standing."


"Last night, I was honoured to receive the Nigerian President-elect @officialasiwajubat at my home," Elumelu captioned a photo of himself and the President-elect on his Instagram page.


"We discussed ways in which the incoming administration must empower and encourage our immensely talented Nigerian youth. We have so much young potential to unleash!"

The legal tussle between the Labour Party, the Peoples Democratic Party, and the ruling All Progressives Congress over the outcome of the February 25 presidential election took a new dimension following report that a combined team of 51 Senior Advocates of Nigeria had been engaged by the trio.


According to sources within the warring political parties, a array of legal luminaries recruited from various chambers were currently being furnished with materials that could be used as evidence in court.
