"Sunday Igboho Is My Son, I've Forgiven Him and He Has My Support Against Criminal Herdsmen" - Ooni

At last, the revered Yoruba King, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife has finally accepted the apology and forgiven popular Yoruba activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo aka Igboho.

Sunday Igboho had on Wednesday evening tendered an apology to Ooni of Ife over his explosive and offensive statement which he accused the respected monarch of disappointing the Yoruba race during his recent visit to President Muhammadu Buhari.

The forgiveness was conveyed in a statement by Director of Media and Public Affairs, Ooni’s palace, Mr Moses Olafare to the Nation as he revealed that Ooni regards Sunday Igboho as his son.

Mr Moses Olafare said Ooni has forgiven him as he had apologized via a video clip he posted yesterday evening.

Olafare furthered said that it was Olugbon of Ile-igbon who informed Adole Oodua that Sunday Igboho would tender an apology to him as he had scolded him over the misdeed which was sacrilege to the throne.

According to Olafere, Ooni has forgiven Sunday Igboho because he is a human who could misbehave as even though his behaviour was a sacrilige to the Oduduwa throne.

He went on to say that as the father of all, the Arole Oduduwa Olofin Adimula, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II remains his father and as he had identified with Sunday Igboho's struggle against criminal herdsmen, he is still strongly behind him for the liberation of Yorubas from criminal herdsmen from their lands.

This will surely come as a huge relief for Sunday Igboho. Yoruba people need a united font to confront the criminal herdsmen and make their land safer.
