In his usual style of fostering relationships and friendliness, the Ooni Of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, recently visited Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State and a video of the visit has since been released by TVC News. The Ooni of Ife is a highly respected and revered monarch of the Yoruba people, his influence spawns beyond the Southwestern part of the country. Ooni of Ife is considered by many as the father and representative of the Oduduwa people who predominantly occupy the southwestern part of Nigeria.
According to information gathered from a video of the king's visit, Ooni of Ife stormed the Edo State Government House with his entourage while the governor and his aides came out to welcome him. In the course of receiving the Ooni of Ife, both the monarch and governor Obaseki exchanged pleasantries as the governor bowed to the king as a form of respect.
The atmosphere was also filled with music during the visit as Ooni of Ife's entourage chanted and played musical instruments. Oba Adeyeye and the governor proceeded by going inside the building.
