End SARS Protest: Nigerian Army Debunks Omokri's Claim of A Division in the Army
The Nigerian Military has debunked the story from Reno Omokri that there is division in the Nigerian Army as to how to handle the End SARS protesters. Reno said that the Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai is pushing for a massacre
In a post on Sunday afternoon, the Nigerian Army labeled it as fake news.
The Nigerian Army had announced the launch of Operation Crocodile Smile across the country, which is a routine operation from the military and it was greeted with criticism by some Nigerians who saw it as a subtle way to clamp down on peaceful protesters
Some Nigerians are still protesting in Lagos and Abuja and the end seems not to be in sight for these protests
Reno Omokri, a former aide to President Goodluck Jonathan has been calling on international personalities to oppose the new Army operations. He has also called on religious leaders in the country to rise against the special operation
