A former minister of aviation and a member of the APC Presidential Campaign Committee, Femi Fani Kayode, stated that even though some Labour Party members rejected the results of the February 25th general elections, they still went ahead to collect their certificate of returns. Recall that some opposition parties in Nigeria rejected the results of the presidential election after they claimed that it was rigged by the ruling party.
The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi vowed to challenge the result of the election at the supreme court. However, some of the candidates who won positions under the Labour Party have already collected their certificates of return even though they believe that the election was rigged. Reacting to the development, Fani Kayode stated that the Labour Party members gleefully collected their certificates of return, yet some of them are shouting that the election was rigged. He said the Peter Obi supporters only talk about rigging where they lost the election.
"You claim the elections were rigged yet you gleefully collect your certificates of return! Were they only rigged where you lost? Delusional people with double standards. If the elections were rigged why are u collecting certificates? You can't approbate & reprobate!" He wrote.
