President Muhammadu Buhari's aide, Lauretta Onochie dug up an old video on Monday regarding the struggle for Biafra. The President's aide described the event in the video as, 'The very day nails were put in the coffin of Biafra'.Lauretta Onochie is the aide to president Muhammadu Buhari on social media. She is popular for expressing her opinions regarding Nigeria’s unity through social media.
Lauretta Onochie addressed the agitation for the realization of Biafra todday, while sharing a video to substantiate her claim. The agitation for the actualization of Biafra is prevalent among some Igbo people in the Southeastern part of Nigeria.Today, Onochie shared a video featuring Yakubu Gowon and Philip Effiong who was the 2nd in command to Odumegwu Ojukwu. According to Onochie, the video she shared shows the relief on the faces of Philip Effiong and his men as they surrender to Nigeria, while saying never again Biafra.
Onochie also added that there was joy on the face of Yakubu Gowon (who was head of state at the time). She claims that the joy on Gowon's face referred to one Nigeria.In the concluding part of her post Onochie said, "The very day nails were put in the coffin of #Biafra".
However, Nnamdi Kanu has since become a prominent figure in the agitation for the actualization of Biafra.
