In recent times, the southeast region has experienced different forms of attacks from unknown gunmen. However, Imo State happens to be one of the southeastern states where these attacks are more frequent.

Note that attacks in critical national facilities like Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) offices and Police stations in Imo state have raised a lot of questions.
However, Hope Uzodinma, the governor of Imo State has reacted to the attacks in the state. During a solace visit to the Commissioner of Police in the state, Uzodinma accused politicians of fuelling insecurity in Imo state.

Uzodinma warned these politicians and told them to repent or face the wrath of God. The governor faulted the attack on police stations and officers who are supposed to protect the citizens.
Uzodimma directed the security agencies to be brave and protect themselves against any form of aggression.
