
Previous Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Alhaji Zakawanu Garuba is lifeless. Garuba, a member of the Peoples Democratic Celebration (PDP) passed away in Abuja in the early hours of July 18.
He died right after a brief undisclosed health issues at the age of 54, and his loss of life was verified by the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki on Twitter.

The ex-lawmaker, who was Speaker between 2007 and 2009 and former member of the Safety and Trade Fee (SEC). He was born August 23, 1965 in Auchi, Etsako West Local government, the northern Edo State.
The former lawmaker attended Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife, Osun State for his legislation diploma in 1989 and was named to bar in 1990.
He is survived by a wife and 3 children. May his gentle Soul rest in Perfect Peace.
