The Governorship and State Houses of Assembly Elections is currently holding across the country in 28 states while just a few incumbent governors seeking re-election while most of the states will be electing new governors today. In Lagos, Babajide Sanwo-Olu is seeking reelection on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, while the Peoples Democratic Party, nominated Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran as their candidate and they will battle Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Labour Party.
However, as eligible voters across Lagos state cast their votes for their preferred gubernatorial candidates across the state, popular Arise News journalist has alleged that there is no INEC official yet in his polling unit at Agungi area of the state. He said, "No polling officers yet at our PU at Agungi, 24-08-04-020".
There has been so much controversies following the Lagos state election has many Nigerians have alleged that it's either the thugs suspected to be sent by the APC are forcing you to vote for their candidates, or you either don't have election materials in your units.
