Yobe State governor and Caretaker Committee Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Mai Mala Buni visited the National Leader of the party, Ahmed Tinubu at his Bourdillon home in Lagos. The visit shows Buni knows his confrontation with Asiwaju will spell doom for APC before the general elections in 2023.

So as a good politician, Buni was in Burdillon to pay homage to his party leader and possibly seek his opinions on his ambition to contest president under APC in 2023. Tinubu might cleverly ask him about what has caused divisions in the party in southwest states and how he will handle the party’s national convention before nominations for party candidates for all offices will start in 2022 before the 2023 general elections.
Some politicians might not understand the importance of this visit, Tinubu is the leader of the party, Buni needs to welcome him back and wish him well. APC needs Asiwaju in the party because of his electoral influence. They don't want to lose him to any opposition party. Buni and his Governors know what they want.
It is the fight of long knives, nothing is sealed, many things can be predicted, many things can be inferred but nothing can be concluded yet. But for Buni to visit Bourdillon is testing the mic. You can not rule out Asiwaju's game plan, he is a strategic politician who understands the game plan ahead of time. Buni should not be too blamed, he is simply playing politics. We should be politically flexible. We should support a scene where people are allowed to freely play their politics.
Although many people have said Tinubu has paid his political dues so well and deserves to compete in 2023. Tinubu is an acrobat and who plays gymnastics politics. As those visitors come and go, he has sized them up, reviewed the antics, and is far ahead of them. Dismantling roadblocks and building longer and more sturdy political bridges.
