Following the Suspension of the Twitter social media Usage in Nigeria, so many reactions of disapproval has generated, both locally and internationally.
Amidst the disapproval from the public, Veteran Actor, Yemi Solade has however supported the President on his act as he describes the Suspension as the “Best decision the presidency could ever made”.
In an Interview with Goldmyne TV, Mr Yemi solade said the Social media channel has gone too far by insulting the president and also Nigerians Indirectly.
He said that majority of the posts on Twitter are negative and this has not in anyway helped the nation at large.
In his words, he said “Everybody has a right to expression but when a platform is used to ferment trouble and project anarchy, there should be rules regulating such practice.”
He accepted the fact that the Federal Government suspension trampled on the Human right but he as well supported the action of the Government on it as he said that was the best thing the presidency could do for the moment.
He hopes that the issue will be resolved and the Twitter social media will become active and accessible to all soon.
