In the past week, in the southern western part of nigeria. A yoruba rights activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo popularly known as sunday igboho showed up in the fight against criminal herdsmen in Oyo state. He insisted that the killer herdsmen must vacate Yoruba land due to their engagement in kidnapping and killings of innocent residents of the community.
Recently, igboho alongside his supporters arrived abeokuta, the state capital of Ogun state and was gladly welcomed by thousands of youths. The purpose of the journey to Ogun state was to continue his campaign against the violent fulani herdsmen in the south west. His only motive was to ensure that peace reigns in the yoruba land.
According to reports, Igboho had earlier requested for buses to aid the transportation of his men from one place to another. A go-fund-me page was set up by his supporters for the purpose of raising 51 million dollars to purchase buses to implement his project of ridding across southern western states of killer fulani herdsmen. A visit to the Gofundme page showed that a lot of nigerians had made several donations to support the project.
In less than 19 hours, a total of 9,515 euros which is approximately 4.8 million naira has been donated to support Sunday igboho's mission.
This fund is actually making progress as nigerian have continued to donate to raise the 51 million naira needed for buses to aid the yoruba activist and his supporters transportation.
