Police Stop Summit To Highlight Okorocha's Achievements

Rochas Anayo Okorocha was the former Governor of Imo state and the Senator representing Imo west.


Recently, The Nigerian police stopped a summit organised to highlight the achievements of a former governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha.

The programme, which was tagged Imo Good Governance Summit, was organised by Imo Transparency Group International.

The summit was to hold at Immaculate Hotel, Port Harcourt Road, Owerri, before rifle-welding policemen led by the Divisional Police Officer of New Owerri Divisional Police headquarters dispersed the delegates from the venue.

The DPO said He was implementing an order from “above” not to allow the summit to hold.


Youths State Position On Buhari Not Handing Over To Osinbajo

It is no more news that President Muhammadu Buhari Travelled to United kingdom for treatment, so many Nigerians have reacted towards the trip.


Recently, The Arewa Youths Consultative Forum (AYCF) on Thursday reacted to President Muhammadu Buhari’s failure to transmit power to his Vice, Yemi Osinbajo before embarking on his latest medical trip to London.

AYCF National President, Yerima Shettima said it would be abnormal for Buhari not to handover power to Osinbajo, if he would not return soon.

Speaking with Daily Post, Shettima, however, noted that it’s only normal, if he would return soon.


APC Chieftain Pleads With Party To Extend Membership Registration Exercise

As 2023 Approaches so many Political parties have started working on possible ways to retain and remaina in power.


The Forum of the All Progressives Congress (APC) State Chairmen has called on the leadership of the party to extend the ongoing nationwide membership revalidation and registration exercise.

They made the call at a news conference on Thursday following a closed-door meeting in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

The chairman of the forum, Ali Buka-Dalori, explained that the extension of the exercise was necessary to give room for more persons to join the APC.

He stated that the turnout of Nigerians and mass increase in the party’s strength in the last few months were indications that more Nigerians were willing to join the party.
