Gen. Olu Bajowa (Rtd) condemned the wilful destruction of public and private property in the Okitipupa Local Government area by hoodlums during the peaceful EndSARS demonstrations. Bajowa, who holds the title of Jagunmol of Ikale Land, characterized the incident as unfortunate.In a statement personally signed by the General and made available to Ondo Events, Bajowa said, "I feel pained and saddened by the extent of destruction of private property, government institutions and monuments of Ikale heritage in the Okitipupa Local Government Area ( LGA) by people who are diabolical and retrogressive"
“I share in the pains of this difficult time, of all our royal fathers, and of all the people of Ikale land, at home and in the diaspora, for these pernicious and reprehensible acts committed by the enemies of society. "Gen. Bajowa, Crown Prince of Ikale Territory, however, pledged support to the government to rehabilitate damaged properties. He also promised a donation of cash and personal property for immediate removal from the Secretariat of the Council, which was one of the properties destroyed by the arsonists.
He added, "On behalf of myself and my wife, the Regent of the Kingdom of Ayeka, I am offering our Iye-Lumure Home, at 49, Erinje Road Okitipupa and the amount of Five Million Naira Only (N5,000,000.00) for the immediate take-off of the Council"
Ikale Land's Jagunmolu also suggested the Ikale Summit, where the Ikale Trust Fund will be set up to enable patriotic sons and daughters of Ikale at home and in the diaspora to make contributions to the noble cause.
He therefore asked the royal fathers and the entire Ikale indegenes to recognize the unfortunate situation as a call for unity and not to hesitate to help the overall development of Ikale. He promised that the perpetrators of evil will not go unpunished.
"I implore our royal fathers and all Ikale sons and daughters not to be discouraged or discouraged by promoting the growth of our motherland, but to accept this unfortunate setback as a strong call for unity.
