The world was put in a state of shock following the shocking news of the passing away of former Chad president Idriss Deby Itno on Tuesday. The former president who according to military sources died as a result of various injuries sustained in the forefront.
He died on Tuesday just a day after he won his election for 6th term office. Idriss Deby has been in power since 1990 after a rebellion brought him to power. He has gone on to spend 31 years at the helm of affairs of Chad. His son Mahamat Kaka Deby has since taken over the affairs of the country.
Many people come out to say their final goodbye to their former leader. His loss is a great one to Chad, West Africa and Africa in general.
