Mr. Peter Obi, the Labour Party's presidential candidate, has written a blog post thanking the party's supporters for turning out in such large numbers to back him in the recently held presidential election. The former governor of Anambra state Obi expressed his gratitude for Nigerians' sincere faith in and dedication to his party in a sequence of tweets on his official Twitter account.
Obi pointed out that the Labour Party visited various locations in Nigeria during the campaign and spoke with bright young people who dedicated their lives and resources to ensuring that this nation prospered.
The youths' sincere and emotional commitments were noticed by the former governor of Anambra state as being independent of faith, tribe, or gender. He said he was appreciative of the young people's faith in him and the affection they have shown him.
"On February 25, 2023, millions of Nigerians from all walks of life, across generations, and from Bornu to Lagos, Port Harcourt to Sokoto, Kano to Enugu, Taraba to Ondo, voted strongly and resolutely to take back their country," the author of the post writes. They cast ballots for the Labour Party and a New Nigeria.
I want to express my sincere gratitude to every Nigerian for their unwavering commitment and sincere confidence that we can create a New Nigeria. Indeed, it is a possibility and has already begun. We went throughout Nigeria, which is one of our most blessed and beautiful countries, during the campaigns.
The millions of young Nigerians who ardently committed their resources, time, and lives to our call and demand for a Nigeria that works for all humbled us more than anyone else during our interactions with you, listening to you, and learning from you.
