Opinion: Tinubu Can Not Be Stopped In 2023 If He Is Supported By These 2 Northern Governors

Against all odds, ups and downs that is happening within the party (All Progresives Congress), Tinubu, the national leader of the ruling party seems to be waxing stronger in all what he does in the party. The national chairman of All Progressive Party is revealed to be the main contender for the main assignment of the country in 2023.

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has tactically planned for the task that is ahead and stopping him may be very difficulty or not possible at all.

The easiest thing that may possibly happen to Tinubu is winning the APC ticket for 2023 presidential election but for him to obtain the actual goal which is winning the 2023 election he needs the support of some current governors especially the Northern governors.

The toughest as well as the most populous place in Nigeria is the North. The northwest and northeast regions always carry the bulk votes during election. Winning one of the two regions or both is always the target of any potential president of the country. Actually, there is no magic that is attached to those places except that Kano and Kastina are the most populated states in the country, even winning one of the two states is equivalent to winning of five to six states in the southeast zone.

In the last presidential election, the candidate of the All Progressive Congress scored the total votes of 1,464,768. The large part of the votes was from Kano State which made Muhammad Buhari to defeat Atiku Abubakar of the PDP.

It is attainable for Tinubu in Kano State in the 2023 election. He can even get more than one million votes in the northwestern states only.

All what Asiwaju needs to do is to work with the Kano State Governor Umar Ganduje ahead of the national convention of the All Progressive Congress where a candidate will be picked. If Ganduje eventually supports Tinubu, then All Progressive Congress will retain the highly populated state of Kano also get enough votes from the state.

Katsina State also did well for Muhammadu Buhari in 2019 although that is his state. The total votes of 1,232,133 was got from the state. And his opponent from People's Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar was able to get 308,056 votes.

Buhari won Kastina state not because his hometown, Daura is located there but it's just because the party is popular in the state.

All what Asiwaju Bola Tinubu should do is accurate and proper calculation, he should also try to form a synergy with the Katsina State governor. The good news is that the Tinubu has always been in good terms with the incumbent governor of Katsina State.

The former Lagos State governor should just simply build on the relationship between him and Masari. And if both the Katsina and Kano State governors support him, then Tinubu will be able to get bulk votes from the two states which will make it easy for him to emerge.
