Femi Fani-Kayode, the former director of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council's New Media Committee, responded to a pastor who had criticized him for speaking out against John Cardinal Onaiyekan, the former Catholic archbishop of the Abuja Diocese.
A correct understanding of the electoral system has become crucial, according to John Cardinal Onaiyekan, a well-known outspoken individual who made the statement while speaking on Channels Television today. Onaiyekan is known for his outspokenness and thought it was unfortunate that the courts were taking so long to decide the 2023 presidential election case.
Former aviation minister Femi Fani-Kayode responded on his verified Facebook page, writing: "The Nigerian people have spoken, and we must all accept their choice, submit to their will, and respect their decision. Democracy is centered around that. The winner need not be your favorite, but you must acknowledge his victory anyway.
"You want me to claim that just because Peter Obi is a Christian, he is better qualified to lead our nation than Ahmed Tinubu? Is that not crazy? And to make matters worst, you declare that I should not disagree with, criticize, or condemn any pastor or bishop who says that our leader and You think the incoming president shouldn't take the oath of office on May 29 because you think he's "not God's choice"
"If he is not God's choice, then please tell me who is," he continued. Who do you think will head an ING Obi, Atiku, or someone else?
