According to Vanguard News, Hon. Yusuf Gagdi, a staunch aspirant for the position of House Speaker, has posed a challenge to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), claiming that the president-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was unaware of the endorsement of Hon. Tajudeen Abass and Hon. Benjamin Kalu.

Vanguard News also reported that while Yusuf Gagdi was speaking to a group of newsmen in Abuja on Tuesday, he claimed that Tinubu can never endorse every form of injustice and corruption, adding that he will duly reward those who have faithfully served him.
Yusuf Gagdi added, "Tinubu won one local government among the northerners in Kaduna State because he visited them during the time of incessant bandits' attack."
