Lawmaker Gifts Constituents 50 Bags Of Rice

Christmas they say it's a season to show love, characterized with giving and exchange of gifts especially among Christians.

It's in that vein that the Member representing Bekwarra State Constituency in the Cross River State House of Assembly, Hon.(Prince) Edward Ajang has again demonstrated his unwavering commitment to members of his constituency on the occasion of this year 2020 Christmas festival celebration by providing 50 bags of locally made rice of 25kg and 500,000 naira cash to be shared among the 10 wards in Bekwarra Local Government Area of Cross River State.

The Lawmaker who was elected into office in the last general elections had arrived his constituency and met with relevant stakeholders on the 25th of December, 2020 and has continued his kind gesture by first presenting two crates of beer ,a bottle of red wine as well as some packs of bottle water to kick start his 2020 Christmas celebration.

Presenting the items and foodstuffs, the legislator charged members of his constituency to celebrate this occasion of the birth of our saviour, knowing that He is the reason for the Season and only through love can we partake fully in this joyous moment and blessings.

It will be Recalled that in 2019,being his first year in office, the Bekwarra borne politician Hon. Edward Ajang demonstrated similar gesture of humanity and concern for the well-being of his Constituents as he facilitated the installation of eight (8) solar boreholes across eight wards in Bekwarra.

All through the period of legislative activities, the Honourable has gone into partnership with the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) in the training/equipping of 20 Youths across the ten (10) wards of Bekwarra, and also shared food items; cows and cash to constituents.

Speaking further, some beneficiaries and members of the constituency said "This frequent gesture has become synonymous with the nature and character of Hon. Edward Ajang, and for the record, Bekwarra people are proud of our today modern leaders as he continued to give back to the people the true dividends of democracy".

One may begin to wonder,to what effect will 30 bags of 25kg rice will have to a population of over 70,000 with majority of them living in abject poverty and lack.

It's high time people begin to caution these sets of politicians who come to make ridicule of the electorates in times like this.
