The fight against corruption is the core mandate the government of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Led by President Muhammadu Buhari, set before itself when it took power from the People Democratic Party in 2015.
The corruption the country has experienced in time past is one of the reasons the country is still grappling with underdevelopment. Nigerians voted emass for politicians under the political party, with the belief, they thought, just like their leader, President Buhari, they would also be blameless before the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The APC’s campaign was geared at portraying that the government of the PDP was corrupt. Nigerians hope, like President Buhari, believed to be a man of integrity, others that would make up his government will be people who are blameless. People known for their high moral standard.
The ministers on this list are those who have their case before the court. There are others whose cases just came to light and her currently under investigation, like the Minister of Justice and the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, and others.
Rotimi Ameachi is the postal boy for the PDP before he left the party for the APC. After he left the governorship seat of Rivers States, his successor, Nyesom Wike, accused him of some series of fraud during his time in office. He was indicted in the fraudulent sales of State asset and Properties, misappropriation of N97 billion by his government.
Another allegation against him was the payment of $39 million for construction of a hospital that do not exist.

The former Governor of Akwa Ibom States and current Minister for Niger Delta, has been in the news for sometimes now. The former Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission, Joy Nunieh, accused him of corruption, misuse of power and sexual assault.
While he was the governor of Akwa Ibom State, he allegedly misappropriated N109 Billion. He also allegedly withdrew N22 Billion Naira from the state account. This was before he became a member of the APC, and lost his Senatorial seat. The Economic and Financial Crime Commission traced his alleged fraudulent activities to about five banks.
The Minister for Labour and Productivity, has also had his care of court cases and accusation of embezzlement during his time as the governor of Anambra State from 2003 to2006. He was accused of using public funds to purchase a property in the United State. The EFCC has been in his heel for a while now, but still, he was appointed as a minster in 2015.
Lai Mohammed was the former spokesperson for the APC, prior to their victory in 2015. He is the current Minister for Information. He was accused of paying N2.5bn from the NBC to Pinnacle Communications Limited, a private company, an obvious breach of the protocol. The Independent Corrupt Practices Commission, ICPC, has been on his neck in court, concerning the case.
Akume is a two-term governor of Benue State from 1999 to 2007. He is accused of N2 Billion Naira fraud. He was also accused of beating EFCC operatives and destroying documents that could link him to the fraud.
