25% In FCT: We All Agreed In Court That We Won't Have A President Who Wins By Deceit - Nwaokobia

The question most people have been asking is if getting 25% of votes in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) is a requirement in terms of winning a Presidential Election. While some have said that the FCT is considered as a state, hence it is not compulsory to get 25% of votes there, some are of the view that the conjunction, 'and' used in the constitution suggests that getting 25% of votes in FCT is very important.

Prof Chris Nwaokobia was among the Abuja residence who appeared in court today to tell the court to address the issue of 25% of votes in FCT before Tinubu assumes office as President of Nigeria.

Nwaokobia said they all agreed today that they must have a President who wins as provided by the constitution, not a President who wins by 'selection' or by deceit.

In his words, he said:

"We were in court today, we all agreed that we must have a President who wins as provided by the constitution, not a President who wins by deceit."
