Magu's Investigation: Garba Shehu Has Told Nigerians to Prepare for Surprises
On Sunday 19/07/2020 during a program at Channels TV " Politics Today" The Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity of President Muhammadu Buhari (Garba Shehu) stated that Nigerians should prepare for surprises regarding the on-going investigation on the suspended acting Chairman of EFCC Ibrahim Magu, as the presidential panel investigating the issue are about to submit their findings.
He says that Justice Ayo Salami-led panel have een providing the Presidency with little updates regarding the on-going investigation.
Garba Shehu said, “I am not going to pre-empt the panel investigation but I just advice Nigerians to hold their hearts in their hands. By the time they are done with this job and they come out with the reports prepare yourselves for surprises.
“I don’t know what will come out but if the sense we are getting from what is being done over there is anything to go by, I think that Nigerians should not be confused by any outbursts by anybody,”.
The former acting EFCC Chairman Ibrahim Magu was arrested on 6th july and released 10 days after for allegedly mismanagement of the loot recoverd by EFCC, which he is currently under investigation for.
