The special adviser on Media to president Muhammadu Buhari has reacted towards the statement which the president has said about him having to leave Nigeria, where he asked those who have kept on dwelling on such statement how Muhammadu Buhari would consider leaving the country when he has no house outside the country.
Femi Adesina who was on a programme on Channels Television downplayed any form of seriousness in the statement which the president said, where he noted that Muhammadu Buhari was merely cracking jokes when he said he would leave the country, as he has no inch of soil outside Nigeria.
The special adviser who made such inquiry stressed that Buhari had even told the King of England that he does not have any house or property outside Nigeria, adding that there was no way he could leave Nigeria, as he also has friends everywhere.
In his words... "The president was just cracking jokes, I will go to Niger, I will go to China, all those are just wise cracks. The president is a Nigerian, and he has always lived in Nigeria, like he said when he met the then prince Charles who is now the King, that one asked him, do you have a house in London, and he told him, I don't have an ince of soil anywhere outside Nigeria. So, how would he then consider leaving Nigeria when? and he also has friends everywhere, including me"
One will not be wrong to say that Muhammadu Buhari had repeatedly said that after leaving office, he will go far away from Abuja to Daura, and if they come looking for him, will go to Niger.
