The Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has said the previous Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Joy Nunieh, didn't take an interest in the compulsory one year service of the National Youth Service Corps.
Senator Godswill Akpabio, who told the House of Representatives Committee investigating budgetary fumble in the NDDC on Monday, additionally said the ex-managing director had no exemption letter.
At the point when gotten some information about his fracas with Nunieh, the minister stated, "The previous Managing Director of the NDDC was calmed of her appointment when I got a letter from the Chief of Staff (may his spirit find happiness) that she didn't have the imperative capabilities to be there.
"For example, we have composed twice to the National Youth Service Corps and twice they have insisted that she never served and that she doesn't have a NYSC certificate or a special case."
Akpabio included that among different reasons, Nunieh was sacked because of insubordination.
Meanwhile, Nunieh was aggrieved because of her removal from office for offences ranging from insubordination to her inability to produce her National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, certificate.
