The Punch Releases A New Cartoon That Relates To The Arrest Of The Secessionist Leaders By The FG

The two popular secessionists in the Southern part of Nigeria has been captured by the federal government, and are to face trial immediately for their alleged crimes committed. Nnamdi Kanu was the first secessionist leader that was captured by the federal government. He was arrested on Sunday 27th June 2021 by the DSS in connection with the International Police and according to the report, he will face an 11 count charge in court.

Sunday Igboho is also the second secessionist leader that was recently captured by the Benin Republic. Sunday Igboho is the leader of the Oduduwa Republic. He was declared wanted after different arms and ammunition were seen in his house. However, the Benin government refused to hand over Sunday Igboho to the Nigerian government. He is said to appear in court today.

As regards this, Punch Newspaper has released a new cartoon that relates to the capture of these separatist leaders. In the picture, all the secessionists were spotted in a bottle trying to escape but it does not seem possible for them. The arrest of the two secessionists shows that the Nigerian government should not be underestimated as to what they are capable of doing.
