Regarding the country's insecurity situation, President Muhammadu Buhari was again asked by the Northern Elders Forum, NEF, to act swiftly to bring things under control, saying the country was being set on fire under his watch.

Herdsmen Kill Four, Burn House In Ogun State

No less than four people were reportedly killed on Sunday evening by alleged killer herdsmen in Agbon-Ojodu, Yewa North Ogun State Local Government Area. 

It was said on Friday that herdsmen assaulted Ebute Igbooro, killing four and seating the property on fire. 

This was after about six people were hacked to death on Thursday and some were thrown into a river in Owode Ketu.

Adewale Giwa, Senior Pastor of Awaiting The Second Coming of Christ Ministry, has said that politicians across the nation are behind the scourge of insecurity. 

Giwa replied to the Bauchi State Governor's allegation that Bala Mohammed was defending Fulani herdsmen carrying AK-47. The Fulani herdsmen were carrying AK-47 to protect themselves in the woods, Mohammed had said.

The former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, called on Governor Seyi Makinde of OyoState to be effective in dealing with security issues in the state.

President Muhammadu Buhari has pledged that all religious and ethnic groups, whether majority or minority, will be covered by hisgovernment in accordance withits constitutional obligation. 

In a statement in Abuja on Sunday, Garba Shehu, one of the President's spokesmen, said that Mr Buhari made the argument while reacting to reports of violent outbreaks by some ethnic and sectional groups in some part of the country.
