Nigeria is a Country consisting of 36 States. These State just like the nation, Nigeria have leaders who man the affairs at this level. They are the Governors. Each State has its Governor who have been vested the Power upon which they are to lift the Country as a whole to greater heights through Division of Labour and Sharing of Power.
Although these Governors need all the credit they can get for the surging forward of the Nation, the spotlight won't be on them today. You are not here for them but for probably the Women who keeps them going and are behind the feats they have attained today—their Wives.
The Saying, "Behind every successful Man is a Woman" might be cliché but it is truly evident in the lives of our Governors. These ladies have made sure our Governors lack no Support... Be it emotionally, psychologically, socially, spiritual and even health and stomach-wise. We owe them a lot for standing perpetually by our leaders.
Abia State— Her Excellency, Nkechi Ikpeazu
Born on the 1st of September, 1965, she hails from Ohanze Isiaha in Obingwa LGA of Abia State. She has a Masters degree in Management and has also secured a Doctorate.
She has worked as a teacher, accounts executive and a banker.
Her NGO, Vicar Hope Foundation VHF, provides homes and healthcare for the less privileged.
She has four children; two boys and two girls with the Governor.
Adamawa State— Her Excellency, Hajiya Lami Fintiri
A woman with a heart of Gold. She has, under the umbrella of her project Fresh Air Prolife Empowerment Foundation, empowered lots of women and young girls. Her love for women and children has no bound.From her picture, its clear she is ready to comfortably everyone along on her wings of breakthrough.
Akwa Ibom State— Her Excellency, Martha Udom Emmanuel
A Quintessential lady from Obio Akpa in Oruk LGA of Akwa Ibom. She obtained her bachelors degree in Biochemistry from the University of Uyo and Masters degree from Lagos State University.
She is the founder of Family Empowerment and Youth Reorientation Programme (FEYReP). She is a very charitable and compassionate woman.
Anambra State— Her Excellency, Ebelechukwu Obiano
She hails from Ogbunike in Oyi LGA in Anambra State. She has a Diploma in Mass communication and a degree in History and International Relations. She later obtained an Associate Degree in real Estate from Lone Star College, Houston, Texas, United States of America.
She is the founder of the NGO, the Caring Family Enhancement initiative(CAFÉ). Through this medium, she focuses on improving the lives of all members of the family by providing succour to the less privileged.
Bauchi State— Her Excellency, Aishatu Mohammed
The Bauchi state First lady is a graduate of Public Administration from the University of Abuja. She is a serious advocate of the education of the Girl-Child and the Stop to Early Marriage. She is the founder of Al-Muhibbah Foundation which she uses to help the less privileged.She knows exactly what she wants and she will get it to fruition.
Bayelsa State— Her Excellency, Gloria Diri
A woman of Substance. She is the founder of Gloria Diri Foundation. The foundation is doing a good work sensitizing everybody on the preventive measures of Covid-19 as well as providing palliatives to the less privileged.Beaming with beauty and smile, she will feel the people of her state with exactly the same fate... Benue State— Her Excellency, Eunice Erdoo Ortom
A Calm Lady, she obtained a Bachelor's degree in International studies, Masters in International Relations and Strategic Studies and also a Ph.D in Political science.Her NGO, Eunice Spring of Life Foundation(ESLF) covers areas such as Education, Agriculture, Health, Youth and Women empowerment.She has a broad vision for her State and she won't give up.
Borno State—Her Excellency, Falmata Umara Zulum
A humanitarian, she initiated the annual Maternal and New Born Child Health Week. She has empowered so many women providing them with necessary skill set to survive. She is also working against all forms of Gender discrimination and inequality. She really does look calm and in control.
Cross River State— Her Excellency, Linda Ayade
Full of elegance and glamour, she hails from Obudu LGA of Cross River State. She holds an MBBS from the University of Port Harcourt and an MPH from University of Wolverhampton, majoring in Health Improvement and Health Promotion. Edo State— Her Excellency, Betsy Obaseki
A financial expert, she has an B.sc and M.sc in Accounting. She is very passionate about the girl child and widows. She believe that empowering women is a good means to uplift the economy of a nation. With that look of "down to business ", we know she is definitely working round the clock to better her State and nothing can stop her.
Ekiti State— Her Excellency, Bisi Adeleye Fayemi
Born on the 11th of June, 1963, she is a British-Nigerian feminist activist, writer and policy advocate. She co-founded the African Women Development Fund (AWDF) which is the first Pan-African Grant-making organization and has also trained more than 6000 women across Africa. She will lead her people to the Promise land.
Enugu State— Her Excellency, Monica Ugwuanyi
A Virtuous woman who through her NGO, Ugo Touch of Life (U-TOLF) caters for the heath and welfare of so many in Enugu. With the way she is pays pays rapt attention to details and absorbs them, it won't be long before she changes the lives of her people completely.
