Former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kawu Baraje has said that his party started zoning in Nigeria, claims other parties are copying PDP.

The former National Secretary and National Chairman of PDP disclosed this while appearing on Politics Today on Channels Television. During his conversation with the host of the program, Seun, Baraje claimed that his party is comfortable with zoning, adding that zoning is PDP's tradition and it is embedded in the constitution of the party. He said his party started it and know how to do it better than other parties, as he boosted that other parties now copies them in the issue of zoning.
Speaking further, Kawu Baraje disclosed that no matter where the national chairman of PDP emerges, does not preclude anybody from that particular zone and the entire members from contesting for presidency.
