Today, members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB has issued a note of warning to youths in the Southeast against joining the newly established security outfit for the region, known as Ebubeagu to spy its own Eastern Security Network, ESN.
IPOB gave this warning today via a statement issued by its spokesman, Emma Powerful.
IPOB in a statement released by the group, condemned the formation of another security network by the Southeastern Governors, stating that the establishment of Ebubeagu was against the already existing ESN.
Don't forget that some days ago, five governors of the Southeast region, launched another security outfit named Ebubeagu regional security to fight terrorism in the southeast zone.
According to IPOB, South-East governors established the Ebubeagu security network to spy on ESN to curry favor from their Fulani slave masters.
The group, however, warned youths not to have anything to do with the Ebubeagu security outfit which was supposedly formed to sabotage IPOB and ESN.
Two Mistakes That IPOB Make As It Gives Strict Warning To The Ibo Youths Over Ebubeagu Security Outfit
1 Ebubeagu Is A Security Outfit Born Out Of Necessity And Circumstances
The decision to form an Ebubeagu security outfit was stated to be a result of the wave of attacks on public institutions especially the police stations in the southeast zone.
Don't forget that last week, Two similar major attacks, one at the police headquarters and another one at the prison's headquarters were carried out by unknown gunmen in Imo State in which one officer was missing and two sustained injuries during the attack.
A notable newspaper disclosed that the gunmen also attacked a military base at Ukwuorji, burnt a soldier inside a car, and razed four vehicles belonging to the military.
2. Ebubeagu Is A Legal Security Outfit That Nigerian Youths Can Join
Unlike Eastern Security Network, Ebubeagu is a legal security outfit recognized by the Nigerian Government that the Eastern Youths can join to protect their motherland.
Recall that at the launching of Ebubeagu were Governor of Abia State, Okezuo Ikpeazu, Anambra, Willie Obiano, Enugu, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, Ebonyi, Dave Umahi, and the host governor, Hope Uzodimma.
Also present at launching was the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide, Professor George Obiozor.
