The leader of the Proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra group, Maazi Nnamdi Kanu is in the news again. According to a report reaching the desk of gistnodeyfinish, the Northern Consensus Movement (NCM) has declared Nnamdi Kanu wanted and also offered a whooping sum of a hundred million naira on anyone who would bring him to them alive and healthy.
The group accused Nnamdi Kanu of causing havoc that affected Northerners residing in the Southern East region. The way the group sounded in the video, proves that there is no love lost between them and Nnamdi Kanu.
Nnamdi Kanu has been agitating for the referendum of Biafra Republic despite not having the support of prominent southeast politicians. His agitations led to the Nigerian government accusing him of treason felony but he ended up jumping bail.
The Northern region is arguably the region hit with the plague of insecurity the most, banditry and kidnapping are on the increase. After watching the video of the Northern Consensus Movement offering a hundred million to anyone who hands over the leader of the Proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra group hale and hearty, I'm tempted to ask if he is their biggest worries?
