It has been reported by The Punch newspaper that a new party will be unveiled in Abuja on the 1st of October, a day which has been marked for the celebration of Nigeria's independence.
The political platform will be unveiled by former Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Attahiru Jega, Professor Pat Utomi among other prominent Nigerians.
It was also learnt that some existing opposition parties in the country will join the new political platform.
Can the new political platform to be unveiled next month truly dislodge the ruling All Progressive Congress and the main opposition party, People's Democratic Party?
I don't think the new political platform can dislodge the proposed political platform because the race for the 2023 presidency has begun since last year.
Many bigwigs in the two main political parties are have been making underground political calculations and permutations ahead of the presidential election.

Moreso, the new political party may not have the political 'muscle' to team up against political parties like APC and PDP that have been founded many years ago.
