'To err is human and to forgive is divine', this phrase as short as it may be is very powerful as the latter part (forgiveness) can save someone in times of trouble. Is there anybody you have offended? Why not tell them sorry so as to let the sleeping dogs lie. It seems we are in the season of rendering of apology to people as the member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Human Right Activist, Adeyanju Deji has yet again tenrrred his apologies to the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu for always criticizing him and calling him all sorts of names.
What Did Adeyanju Deji Said About Nnamdi Kanu?
In the year 2019, Adeyanju Deji attacked Mazi Nnamdi Kanu for allegedly planing to disgrace and attack President Muhammadu Buhari in Japan as he described it as 'senseless', adding that all he needed was money and that was why he became very happy with the Biafra struggle. The Human Right Activist who was not sure alleged that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu ordered members of IPOB arrest the president and hand him over to Japanese authorities.
He went on further to say that Nnamdi Kanu is not driven by his love for Igbos and that the Biafra struggle started because of money and that so long he continues to receive money from his paymasters, he will not cease to stop throwing shades at Igbo leaders. He also said that Nnamdi Kabu is being used by some top men to cause chaos in the country and that he was being sponsored by politicians who are leaders in the South East
The Human Right Activist has come out to say 'sorry' to Nnamdi Kanu over the way and manner he spoke about him two years ago. He took to his verified Facebook page to share the apology post.
"I don't know how many times I will have to apologize to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu because I criticize him from time to time because that is just who I am when I see something wrong or something that needs correction, I must talk; but once again, I am sorry."
This apology is coming days after the UK Government revealed plans to grant asylum to prosecuted IPOB members in the country which was condemned by the Nigerian government.
It appears that most people are gradually getting to like Mazi Nnamdi Kanu as they have realized that he is a wise leader who has the interest of his people at heart. I pray Nnamdi Kanu accepts his apology.
