Recall that the N-POWER beneficiaries had written a letter to security operatives informing them of the peaceful protest scheduled to hold today. This protest held in so many states today.
It is no longer news that the federal government though the ministry of Humanitarian affairs development has opened portal for the registration of new N power beneficiaries (batch C) of which over 4 million applications have since been received.
The reasons for the protest is to create awareness to the Ministry to pay backlog of stipends owed to some beneficiaries totalling about 3 months arrears, distribution of disengagement devices and, also a way to soliciting for permanency by employing them into various parastatals in the Federal civil service commission.
Although the federal government is still bent on disengaging the batch A and B beneficiaries; but they might just be lucky enough to be retained if the federal government takes it into kin consideration.
