You are Not A Saint – Fayose Challenges Falana Over N28M Fraud

Ex-Gov. Peter Ayodele Fayose who is a Nigerian politician and the former governor of Ekiti State has asked the popular human rights activist Femi Falana to stop behaving like a Saint.

This is coming after the Presidential Investigation Committee on the EFCC Federal Government Recovered Assets and Finances from May 2015, to May 2020, had claimed that N28 million payment was traced to one Falana.

Reacting to the statement, Femi Falana SAN who is a Nigerian lawyer and human rights activist and He once contested and lost the governorship election of Ekiti State in 2007 on the platform of the National Conscience Party, a party he served as National Chairman in 2011 said through his lawyer Adeyinka Olumide-Fusika (SAN), on Sunday that

“In the circumstance, my immediate instruction is to demand that you acknowledge your wrongdoing, expressly admit that what you imputed against my client was false, and apologize for your unprofessionalism and the damage you have caused to him." - Not Full Statement

In a post on his official Twitter handle, Fayose on Wednesday Falana to clear his name by going to court instead of merely threatening to do so.

Fayose said, “If there is nothing to hide, why is Femi Falana threatening instead of simply going to court?

“Isn’t this alleged link to Magu another opportunity for him to go to court and clear his name?

“Me thinks his likes should stop carrying on as if they are saints and untouchables.”
