The new IG of Police was appointed earlier this month on 6th April,2021 and was decorated by the Vice, President of the nation, Prof. Yemi Osibanjo on 7th April, 2021. Meanwhile, the appointment of the new IG raised some issues and some Nigerians began asking question.
The president, Muhammadu Buhari has opened up on why he appointment Alkali Baba Usman as the new IG. According to the president, he chosed Alkali out of the list given to him because Usman Alkali has the necessary experience for the job.
The New IG of Police Being Decorated When He Was Appointed
The president made this statement on the Thursday, 15th while addressing the development after he arrived Nigeria from London after spending two weeks to seek medical attention.
By the president's statement, Alkali Usman Bab is worthy and will help in the capacity of the IG to see to an improved security network in Nigeria. Nigerians should pray for the new IG to carry out his work effectively.
