REVEALED: How NDDC officials allegedly diverts students scholarship funds for personal use

The Niger Delta Development Commission has been under scrutiny for some weeks now with the National Assembly creating a committee to look into the alleged Misappropriation of funds.

The House of Representatives committee however invited a researcher, Kola Johnson to she'd more light on the allegations. While speaking with the Members of the committee, Kola revealed how the Leaders of the NDDC turned money that was supposed to be paid to students into their own.

Johnson, who is the Head of Research at the Act of Positive Transformation Initiative (APTI), told the panel that he got to know about the situation thorough investigation. Johnson said the Students research funds was paid into the top officials personal accounts.

The people involved according to Johnson are the NDDC’s Executive Director, Project, Dr. Cairo Ojougboh and Managing Director, Prof. Kemebradikumo Pondei among other officials 

Johnson revealed that the students have been locked out of school because of unpaid fees, which should not be so as they were supposed to receive scholarships but this was not given to them .

Kola mentioned that some students have reached out to him on social media asking him to help in their struggle for their right.He appealed to the Federal Government to urgently come to the abandoned students’ rescue.

Ojuogboh had already said recently that he is not involved in any fraudulent activities.: “l’m a civilised man. I’m a soldier of truth and a promise keeper.”
