See What This Man Asked Her After She Indicated Interest To Contest For Oyo State LG Primaries

Nigerian women are awakening to the reality that they can do more than just cooking and giving birth. It has always been the average Nigerian mentality that a woman's place is in the kitchen , making babies and tending to the family even after acquiring certificates and top notch skills.

Okonjo Iweala, the new Director General of the World Trade Organization has set a pace for young generation of women to follow in her footsteps. She has showed that one can successfully achieve her dreams even while being married. Marriage was never designed to stop one, most especially Nigerian women from achieving their dreams.

A Nigerian Yoruba woman by the name Omojadesola took to her Twitter to show case her PDP clearance certificate she just picked from the Secretariat which will enable her contest in the Oyo State Local Government primaries which is scheduled for Thursday March 4,2021.

According to Omojadesola, her seven point agenda towards the Local Government Primaries are; Health care, Education, Youth/Women Empowerment, Agriculture,Security, and community development.

Omojadesola after displaying her certificate and solicited support from well meaning Nigerians, was met with a good response as both men and women congratulated and pledged their support. Some even went as far as retweeting her post so as to creat more awareness and make it go viral.

But as the saying goes, there must always be a critic in everything as far as life as concerned. Omajadesola despite receiving support from Nigerians, was attacked by a man who tried to dime her energy in the pursuit of this cause.

The man asked her " Hope she won't end up like Desmond Elliot when she gets to the top? This was Omajadesola's response

This is a huge step that Omajadesola has taken in the Nigerian politics. She has challenged the old narrative and hopefully we believe that she be given a chance to bring change and good governance in Oyo state.
